Have copied the owl data over from thelma that was not downloaded during the initial rsync due to time restrictions.

Processed nav data and got a less than 5cm accuracy solution. More than acceptable.

Attune has give Roll -0.00640592, Pitch 0.00012318 and Heading 0.00000548 with average residuals X 0.266, Y 0.286 and aposteriori 1.4443 for 286 observations. Examined in LAG and needs further tweaking. Also looks like variable roll and pitch for each flight line.

Reprocessed with alspp using correct .reg file (torsion and latency settings). New offsets:
Roll: -0.00645597
Pitch: 0.00009318
Heading 0.00002661

Calculated range corrections:
A1: -2.169 B1: -2.169
A2: -2.161 B2: -2.167
A3: -2.133 B3: -2.174
A4: -2.178 B4: -2.149

No offset between bank A and B observed. Possibly some error with torsion, needs checking.

Changed pitch slope error to -0.000001 and pitch offset to 0.00016318.

  • Tweaked heading to 0.00008.
  • Altered roll to compromise between medium and high altitudes: -0.006375. (Med alt best r = -0.006300)
  • Redone range calibration for new values:

A1: -2.063 B1: -2.063
A2: -2.055 B2: -2.061
A3: -2.027 B3: -2.068
A4: -2.072 B4: -2.043

  • Gives mean offsets:

low: -0.29 cm
med: -6.41 cm
high: -1.11 cm

Now needs checking

Have checked values for 219b (Ticket 535) and look fine.

Found boresight values: 0.12, -0.32 & 0.32

LiDAR

Redid boresight without FLA so it can be used in alsproc. New values are:

Roll: -0.00635
Pitch: -0.00175
Heading: 8e-005
Pitch Slope Error: -1e-5

Have added these values to the default alsproc config file and created a new reg file '2014_238_calibration_no_fla.reg'.
