Description

Data location: /data/larsenb1/scratch/arsf/vocals/vocals-linex_backup_5/voc08-31008 (symlink in ~arsf/arsf_data/2008/flight_data/vocals/VOC_08-2008_310_Chile)

Data arrived from ARSF via SATA disk "Linex backup 5" on 12th December 2008.

Scientific details: VOCALS cloud campaign

Priority:

PI: G. Vaughan

Eagle and Hawk data originally separated into two directories (08 and 08a) because the Eagle/Hawk circuit breaker tripped mid-flight and caused them to reset. Consolidated the files into a single directory each for eagle and hawk and re-numbered the files to be continuous. Files 08 1-6 are as marked on the logsheet, files 08a 1-5 changed to files 7-11.

Sensors:

  • Eagle
  • Hawk

Quicklook

TBD.

Have renamed Eagle files so all start with VNIR prefix.

Note that one line has a dropped frame on the first frame and will need a tiny offset (= 1 frame's worth) added to the start time.

There is no hawk data for flight line 6 due to a breaker trip.

comment:4 Changed 16 years ago by jatt

Header file created for eagle flight line 6 based on the raw file size. For the dark frames used file /users/rsg/benj/scratch/darkframes/extracted/eagle/dark_eagle_voc8-5_b2-1_f36_i8.

The end of flight line 11 is a spiral, so this line has been split and the first part has been processed to level 3 and the second part has been processed to level 1 only.

Jane created a delivery directory at ~arsf/arsf_data/2008/flight_data/vocals/VOC_08-2008_310_Chile/delivery/20090814/VOC08.

I've delivery checked it, changed a few bits. The second part of the flightline for line 11 (both eagle and hawk) appears to still have dark frames in the level 1. Something odd happened there, anyway. No need for re-checking once fixed, the rest is fine.
