Description

Hawk imagery since the start of 2009 contain dark stripes running along-track. Initially there was just one stripe but following the instrument's return to Specim in April there has been a number.

Problem fixed (we think) during Specim visit to ARSF Gloucester in late July 2009. There was a piece of dust in the aperture of the instrument causing the problem. Markku Koskela from Specim cleaned the instrument and says it's working, we're waiting on the next data collection post-fix to confirm this.

Does appear to be fixed following Markku's maintenance - the dark bands are not present in the one Hawk line from the IPY flights in 2009.
