Specific Scientific Objectives

1. Development and validation of hyperspectral retrieval algorithms for biophysical parameter estimation in preparation for launch of PRISMA hyperspectral mission. These include;

Leaf area indexn (LAI m2/m2)
Fraction of vegetation cover (Fc, %)
Leaf chlorophyll concentration and canopy chlorophyll content.

2. Test and validation of remote sensing techniques for qualifying water exchanges in the main tree crop species of the Med.

Applanix, and IPAS processing have been completed.

ASTER DEM has been created and stored in ~arsf/dems/sicily/sicily_az.dem

Please note that the first flight line had a bad combined separation graph but after lots of tweaking this couldn't be resolved so this should not be used to correcting the roll offset for the LIDAR.

All looks good apart from:

• Eagle lines 1 and 2 would not go through azgcorr due to turn. I think the large wobble sections for all flightlines need to removed from the level 1's using -l option in azspec.

• EM10_07-2010_145a_Trapani.dem should be EM10_07-2010-145a.dem

Need to mention the following in quality section of ReadMe:

• Overflows for lines e2, e9 due to dwellings
• regular dropped scan lines on most eagle lines and some hawk
• For hawk, bands 77 and 190 are always blank
• For hawk, the final two columns of band 1 are always blank

Stage 2 completed but lev3 for line 1 E+H can not be generated, apl is claiming the nav file does cover them.

Re-ran stage 2 for Hawk as aplcal has been updated in relation to the bad pixel file.

SCTs for line 1 did not appear to be correct, at least different ones were needed in this case.
